> DIRECTIONS to The North Star Cafe
Travel time from Boston is 1.5 to 2 hours depending on where you're leaving from and at what time.
- Take 128 or Rt 1 to I-95 N.
- You will pass through 1 toll in NH, which I think is $1.
- You will pass through 1 toll in ME, which I think is $1.75.
- Take exit 44 to Portland, I-295.
- You will pass through yet another toll (60 cents).
- Take 1-295 to the Franklin Street exit.
- You will go through a series of lights up a hill.
- Make a left onto Congress Street. There will be a big parking lot on your right.
- Go through one set of lights and The North Star Cafe will be a couple of blocks up on the left. There is a very old cemetary directly across the street. 255 Congress Street. Park anywhere along Congress Street.
